What is henna?
Henna derives from the henna plant called Lawsonia Inermis. The plant has dye that it makes. This plant dye is then made into power form and when combined with other natural ingredients such as essential oils, it creates henna paste. This paste is known as Mhendi.
What are the ingredients in henna?

How is henna applied?
Henna is applied through a cone that appears similar to a cake piping cone. The paste is squeezed from the cone and onto the most external part of your skin. You can read up more on this process in my Beginners Guide on my website.
How long does henna last?
Henna stains typically lasts up to 1-3 weeks. The amount of time henna lasts is dependent of how long the henna is first applied and the maintenance/ care after removal of paste (left with stain).
How long should I keep the paste on my skin?

Will the henna tattoo show if I am darker complected?
Yes it will. I do think in my own experience working on other skin tones besides mine (pale skin), I see that it will be more noticeable. However, this doesn't affect the tinting. Henna binds to any skin type.

Does the henna application hurt?
100% No. Henna should not hurt the skin. It is applied on top of the skin. I do have some people tell me it gives them a tingling sensation, but honestly I could say the same thing when I apply it to my skin.

Want a longer/darker henna stain?
Consider one of these tips..
Apply lemon juice or olive oil once removing dried henna paste.
Avoid friction and water on the tattoo.
Tightly wrap it up before going to bed with saran wrap to seal in the stain.
